Step 3 - Decision Making

Having self understanding and examined the career information you have gathered so far, try to now to narrow down your choice to a few preferences. Addressing the following questions may help you decide

  • Which career option seems most attractive to me?
  • What qualifications, training, work experience are required to enter?
  • What are job opportunities like in this area?
  • What are the promotional prospects?
  • If jobs are limited in this area, what are the related areas?

Reflect on your last important decision. How did you make it? Did it achieve your aim? Could you have improved the process? The best decision is usually one that is well thought out, researched and realistic.
