The School of Engineering is one of six academic schools within Waterford Institute of Technology and comprises the departments of Architecture, Construction & Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology and Trade Studies.  Courses available are listed here.

There are currently 99 lecturing posts and 12 technical posts in the school including the four Academic Heads, and the teaching programme includes 32 full-time course year groups and 45 block release apprenticeship groups.  There are presently 1050 full-time students and some 750 (250 full time equivalent) craft apprentices in the school.
