Fighting Influenza Campaign

In an effort to reduce the impact of of an influenza outbreak the Institute has developed a 'Fighting Influenza' Programme which consists of the following:

1. Policy on the outbreak of influenza - a copy of this policy is availble here

2. Increasing the hygiene and sanitising facilities at the Institute 

Hand sanitisers are installed at all main entrances/exits.  Details of the importance of hand hygiene including the correct technique for using an alcohol rub and handwashing are available here

3. Communications strategy

The Institute will advise all staff and students on its Fighting Influenza Programme and on prevention measures and will utilise resources such as email, leaflets, posters, website, internal publications, noticeboards and plasma screens. In addition we will work closely with the Students Union on providing information to students and class representatives.
