Witness the worlds of science come alive at the RDS this January! Get face to face with advanced robots, chemical reactions, engineering machines, computer games and meet secretive sea-life. Learn how the human eye works and you might even bump into 17th century Irish scientist Robert Boyle while you do exciting experiments!
Visit the Waterford Science Region stand in the Ecozone at the BT Young Scientist exhibition in the RDS from 8 to 10 January, where lecturers and students from Science and Engineering at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) will be working with leading healthcare companies Bausch and Lomb and Teva as well as Waterford Council to show the best of Waterford as a region for science excellence.
Making its BT Young Scientist debut is STEAMdream - a daring combination of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics that brings static objects to life through the new medium of projection mapping. Developed by the Applied Robotics and Digital Media groups at WIT in conjunction with Calmast and Maths Week Ireland, this exciting innovation will bring maths and science to life in a whole new way.
