The Department of Nursing and Health Care are hosting a Workshop on ‘Improving Care using Experience Based Co-Design’
This workshop introduces experience-based co-design (EBCD) as a means of improving service delivery.
The workshop will be facilitated by Professor Glen Roberts & Jane Parr.
Glenn Robert
Glenn Robert is Professor of Healthcare Quality & Innovation, King’s College London. Glenn’s research focuses on quality and service improvement in health care and new perspectives on large-scale change. He has an overarching interest in organisation development and change management. A particular focus of recent work has been on developing and testing the Experience-based Co-design approach to quality improvement. Current research projects also include a national evaluation of the Productive Ward in England and a study exploring how patient experience ‘data’ is collated and used in NHS acute Trusts.
Jane Parr
Jane Parr is the lead Allied Health Professional and the Speech and Language Therapy Clinical Lead for both Adult Mental Health and Learning Disability Services in the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. She is currently leading an Experience Based Co-Design project as part of a service development initiative. She is particularly interested in creative ways of giving people with disabilities a real voice in services in order to make a real difference to their experiences and to reduce health inequalities.
