The telephone system will be unavailable this Wednesday 29th July (all day), and into Thursday 30th July , due to an essential hardware upgrade. While a 24 hour period has been allocated for this outage, to include any unforeseen problems, it is envisaged that it should be less that that.
This will mean desk telephones (Incoming & Outgoing calls); voice mail and the switchboard will all be unavailable during this period.
We appreciate that this may be a major inconvenience to some users however you may appreciate that components of the telephone system are approaching 20 years and there is a major concern that if we do not replace these components in an organised and planned manner that we will be forced to have a longer period of downtime in a situation where a component fails.
We recommend that you use alternative methods such as mobile phone and email to conduct your daily activities during downtime.
An 'All Staff' email will be send to all staff members upon the completion of the installation process.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this will cause.
