PMBRC have been shortlisted for two Pharma Industry Awards for a second year in a row, including Pharma Research Centre of the Year award
The PMBRC has been shortlisted in two categories for the Pharmaceutical Industry Awards 2016. The awards recognise and celebrate the most original and innovative individuals and organisations that demonstrate excellence in the Irish Pharma sector. The PMBRC has been shortlisted in the “Pharma Research Centre of the Year” and “Biotech Organisation of the Year,” categories.
Speaking of the news, PMBRC Manager Dr Niall O'Reilly said: “we are delighted to be shortlisted for the Pharma Industry Awards this year. The nominations recognise the overall performance of our centre and the quality of our research in particular. The past 12 months have been the busiest to date in terms of research output and we have successfully grown all aspects of our operations from basic to applied research activities”.
The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 13th October at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.

The Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre (PMBRC) is an applied research centre which aims to support the sustainable growth of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in the south east of Ireland. Situated in the heart of the region on the SETU campus, the centre seeks to stimulate research and innovation, allowing companies to embed R&D into their activities. One of 12 Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateways, the PMBRC consists of a 800 m2 state-of-the-art facility with 34 highly-trained research personnel.
