WIT regards the Foundation Course as meeting the entry requirements for Third Level courses within the Institute. It does not automatically guarantee the student a place on a full-time Third Level course. However, the successful student is placed in a stronger position from which to apply to colleges through the Mature Student application route.
Previous graduates of the Foundation Studies Course have gone onto mainstream Third Level courses not only in WIT but in other Institutes of Technology and the Universities. Career paths have included:-
