Selection Procedure

 

All applicants must complete the Course Application form and submit a recent passport type photograph

All applicants will be invited to attend for interview at the Institute to assess their suitability for the Course

Successful applicants can then proceed to register on the Course which begins with an Induction Programme

Potential applicants should bear in mind that they will be required to show that they have seriously considered the implications of taking on a course of study such as this in terms of time management, work and family commitments, and extra-curricular activities.  They must show that they will be able to dedicate the required amount of time to their studies and to the Course in general.

To facilitate candidates in deciding whether the Course is appropriate for them or not, the Regional Educational Guidance Service for Adults (REGSA) offers a free, impartial and confidential service for prospective mature students.  Candidates are strongly advised to make contact with REGSA as part of their decision-making process.  REGSA can be contacted on 051-302287.

Reflections on the course:     

I have found strengths I didn’t know I had. I’m not as stupid as I thought. I can now breakdown complicated problems and subjects and have a better understanding of them. Basically it has been good for me.   Larry Cuddihy
