Academic research is focused on specific problems arising in general practice which in 2015 included the effect of a double dismissal of an employee and the attachment of legal privilege to communications between a trade union representative and a member involved in disciplinary proceedings. Currently reading issues arising in Shipping Law
Land Law, Constitutional Law, Business Law, Construction Law, International Trade Law, Shipping Law, Conveyancing, Evidence and Civil Litigation.
Professional practice experience in the areas of civil litigation, both general and personal injury; criminal defence cases at District and Circuit Court level; family litigation at District, Circuit and High Court level; employment law matters to include presentation of cases before the Labour Court, Employment Appeals Tribunals, Equality Officers and Rights Commissioners; advisory work for both private individuals and the corporate sector; licensing matters; negotiating and drafting to include property, building, employment, separation, agency and general commercial agreements.
