My Biography

Introduction

Fiona Whelan-Ryan is a lecturer in Marketing at Waterford Institute of Technology and has lectured on a variety of modules on a range of programmes in the School of Business & Humanities over the last 23 years.  Fiona’s teaching interests include: Introductory modules in Marketing & the Marketing Mix, Services Marketing, Applied Marketing Research & Integrated Marketing Communications.  Fiona lectures both full-time & part-time students.  Fiona also has a strong academic & professional background in Tourism & Hospitality.

 

External Assignments

Fiona has worked an external examiner with Athlone Institute of Technology and on the Bachelor of Business Studies Programme at Dublin Institute of Technology.

 

Research Interests

Fiona has published in the area of Yield Management and has been a doctoral candidate at the University of Limerick, in the Faculty of Education and Health Science studying for a PhD. 

Her current research interest is in evaluating student perceptions of their transition to and success in the higher education sector.

Overview

Fiona Whelan-Ryan is currently a lecturer in Marketing at Waterford Institute of Technology and has lectured on a variety of modules on a range of Business programmes in the School of Business & Humanities over the last 23 years.  Fiona has also lectured on Tourism & Hospitality programmes at Waterford Institute of Technology.
