Gillian originally trained as a nurse where she specialised in Ophthalmic Nursing gaining a world of experience in Public Health practice. In 2004 she graduated with an M.Sc in Nurse Education with a interest in Health Promotion from University College Cork. She has been a member of the academic staff at WIT since 2005 where she has been involved in various teaching and adminstrative roles. Gillian's current interests include patient compliance to prescribed medication in treating metal health disorders.
Since 2005 Gillian has taught a diverse range of modules related to Public Health, Health and Disease, Mental Health and Wellness, Social, Personal and Health Education, Health Promotion in Key Settings and supervision of final Dissertation for 4th year undergraduate students.
Gillian coordinates a mentoring programme for 1st year undergraduate students across the Department.
