My Biography

Lecture and research in the Waterford Institute of Technology. Part of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) research group. Researching technological innovation and the translation of technological innovations into successful products in the marketplace.

Research

Performing innovation; Lean applied to the facility layout problem; Legal leverage in new technology industries; Microfluidics.

Teaching

Engineering systems approach, operations and enterprise resource management, advanced manufacturing technology research, innovation.  B.Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering Programme Leader from 2000-2014.

Professional

Lean production and continuous process improvement. Manufacturing, maintenance and machining. Quality, production and inventory control.
