Patrick McInerney is a lecturer of Computer Science at Waterford Institute of Technology in the area of 3D visualisation with particular expertise in 3D modelling, lighting and rendering. Research interests include close-range photogrammetric surveying and point-cloud visualisation of cultural heritage material.
Patrick is currently involved in the technical illustration of a number of nationally and internationally-published books and journal articles that specialise in the area of archaeological and historical research.

1987 - 1992: Archaeological surveyor and publication illustrator, Waterford City excavations.
1992 - 1995: Lead Archaeological Surveyor and publication illustrator, Kilkenny Castle excavations.
