Expression Engine Cookies


This cookie only keeps track of the last 5 pages you visited on wit.ie. This information allows wit.ie to redirect you to the page you were on
exp_last_activity This cookie contains the date of your last activity on wit.ie. If you haven’t been active on the site before, your last activity will be set to the current time
exp_last_visit This cookie is only relevant to registered users. If you’re browsing wit.ie as a guest, this cookie will be set to a date in the past. The cookies exp_last_activity and exp_last_visit allow wit.ie to show you which content has been updated since your last visit.
bb2_screener This is generated by an ExpressionEngine bad behaviour plugin which is a spam prevention tool
exp_csrf_token A security cookie used to identify the user and prevent Cross Site Request Forgery attacks

Google Analytics

WIT does not capture personal data through Google Analytics cookies.

_ga Used to distinguish users
_gid Used to distinguish users
_gat Used to throttle (limit) request rate
__utma Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utma cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics
__utmt Used to throttle (limit) request rate 
__utmb Used to determine new sessions/visits
__utmc Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit
__utmz Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached your site. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics
__utmv Used to store visitor-level custom variable data

YouTube cookies list

YouTube sets cookies on the user's computer once the visitor clicks on the YouTube video player embed on wit.ie. Youtube cookies do not contain personally identifiable information if the user is not signed into their google account

PHPSESSID This cookie is used to store a logged in user's username and a 128bit encrypted key. This information is required to allow a user to stay logged in to a website without needing to submit their username and password for each page visited
