Multimedia Applications Development is the creation of exciting and innovative multimedia systems that communicate information customised to the user in a non-linear interactive format using a combination of digital media types, such as text, images, audio, video and animations. Graduates will be skilled in both computing and multimedia to work in today’s highly dynamic, high-tech digital environment.
This is a three year programme designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and practical experience in the core areas of computing and multimedia. Students using innovative tools and technologies, become proficient in programming and digital media to create custom-built interactive applications. The flexible semester facilitates professional development, enhances knowledge and technical skills, through industry placement and Erasmus opportunities.
There is an increasing demand for IT professionals with the skillset required to drive and support the digital media industry within Ireland. The aim of the course is to develop contemporary multimedia professionals with the knowledge and skillset to work in the domains of technology, creativity and digital media.
