The Certificate in Technology-Enhanced Learning is a Minor Award (30 ECTS, Level 9) for Education and Training professionals, who wish to develop their knowledge, practical skills and confidence in designing and creating content for the delivery of blended and online programmes.  This part-time flexible programme offers you dynamic, collaborative and active options to engage with your own students and learners in blended and online platforms.

Throughout this practical programme, you will complete the following three 10 ECTS modules:

 

  • Blended Learning provides you with the practical experience of implementing blended learning approaches to create interactive and online learning environments.  You will learn, critique and implement existing and emergent new technologies with a view to enhancing your students’ learning and learning experience in blended and online modes.

 

  • Curriculum Development and Assessment provides you with an expanded view of the curriculum and examines how the curriculum is developed, informed, and influenced by stakeholders.  You will develop the requisite knowledge and competencies to become an effective assessor of learning in blended and online modes.

 

  • Content and Interaction for Teaching and Learning Online provides you with a conceptual awareness of the impact of educational interfaces.  It examines the role and importance of visual design and language in developing content for effective blended and online learning.

The Certificate in Technology-Enhanced Learning is a Minor Award (30 ECTS, Level 9) for Education and Training professionals, who wish to develop their knowledge, practical skills and confidence in designing and creating content for the delivery of blended and online programmes.  This part-time flexible programme offers you dynamic, collaborative and active options to engage with your own students and learners in blended and online platforms.

You are required to have an Honours Degree (NFQ Level 8) or equivalent.

On successful completion of the programme, you may progress to study the Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (60 ECTS) or the MEd in Teaching and Learning (90 ECTS) at SETU.

Throughout this practical programme, you will complete the following three 10 ECTS modules:
