The Certificate in Community Studies will introduce community volunteers and activists who wish to develop their knowledge of the theory and practice of community education and development. Participants will also learn to reflect on their own community practice, acquire skills in group work and set goals for their own personal development. This course is delivered in conjunction with Waterford Women’s Centre over one academic year. On successful completion of this course, graduates may progress to study the Higher Certificate in Community Development and Education.
Delivery: 1 Year, Monday 9.30am - 12.30pm
Modules will be delivered over 2 semesters; Semester 1 (Sep – Dec 2020) and Semester 2 (Jan – May 2021).
