The Certificate in Social Enterprise Management aims to develop participants' knowledge, skills, self-confidence and effectiveness as managers of social enterprises.  Throughout this programme participants will develop an understanding of how to manage a social enterprise and the role of the social enterprise manager.  The programme is delivered using group work methods with a focus on shared learning, where participants are encouraged together to develop their knowledge and skills of social enterprise management.  The lecturers will challenge the participants to become positive agents of change with their individual social enterprise context.  


1 year Friday 10 am – 5 pm commencing on February 14.

Financial Management and Governance for Social Enteprises (5 credits)
Human Resource Management for Social Enteprises (5 credits)

Semester 2

Leadership and Management of Social Enteprises (10 credits)
Marketing, PR and Communications for Social Enteprise (5 credits)

Applicants must have:

  • Higher Certificate (120 credits, Level 6) or equivalent
  • Access to a social enteprise in which to apply their learning
  • Access to the internet

This is a special purpose award and on successful completion  of this programme, graduates may apply for entry onto other programmes within WIT and other Higher Education Institutes in light of their qualifications and the entry criteria of individual programmes.
