This course is funded under the new 'July Stimulus - Modular Provision' initiative - part of Ireland's response to the pandemic which offers funded shorter courses.

The Certificate in Social Enterprise Management (30 Credits, Level 7) is a special purpose award, which aims to develop participants' knowledge, skills, self-confidence, and effectiveness as managers of social enterprises.  Throughout this course, participants will develop an understanding of how to manage a social enterprise and the role of the social enterprise manager.  The course is delivered online with a focus on shared learning, where participants are encouraged together to develop their knowledge and skills of social enterprise management.  The lecturers will challenge the participants to become positive agents of change with their individual social enterprise context.  

Progression:  On successful completion of this programme, graduates may apply for progression onto other courses at WIT and other Higher Education Institutes. 

Delivery: Fridays 9am–3pm, January to June 2021 (inclusive)

Qualification: Certificate in Social Enterprise Management (30 Credits, Level 7)

No Fees Apply: Unemployed / PUP / Returners are fully funded - they pay no fee to do the course.
Fees Apply: Employed / Recent Graduates must pay 10% of the overall course fee - the amount directly payable by the student is set out below.

Academic Eligibility:
Typically:

Level 6 courses require Leaving Cert or equivalent;

level 7 courses require a major award at level 6;

Applicants must have:

  • Higher Certificate (120 credits, Level 6) or equivalent
  • Access to a social enteprise in which to apply their learning
  • Access to a computer and internet

Fees:  Free to Unemployed / PUP / Returners
           Employed / Recent Graduates must pay 10% of the overall course fee = €220
