Maria O'Connor, BEd, MA <br />Principal, Scoil Mhuire, Butlerstown.

“Undertaking the MA in Management in Education provided me with exceptional opportunities for professional development.  I particularly liked the flexibility of the course, the diverse choice of modules and the motivational lecturers.  The skills I learned and the professional reflection and collaborative projects I completed have undoubtedly added to my leadership and self-efficacy as a team leader.  It was a thoroughly rewarding experience, which I would highly recommend to aspiring school leaders.”

Maurice O’ Toole

"Making the decision to return to education wasn’t an easy one considering I worked as a full-time secondary school teacher and had taken on a middle management role that brought with it huge responsibility. This, coupled with a busy home life, I did question my decision. However, the structure of the MAME offered me the opportunity to make the programme work for me. The unique structure of the programme allows students to choose modules that suit their interests and schedule but also a timeframe of between 2 and 5 years to complete. Students can therefore learn at a pace that suits them with ongoing support from all members of the MAME team. The knowledge and skills that I have learned over the 3 years have been invaluable to me as a second level teacher and because of this, I was recently appointed as an AP1 post holder in my school.

As I complete my minor dissertation and my time on the MAME programme draws to a close, I would recommend anyone who is thinking of enrolling on the programme to go for it – you certainly won’t regret it."

Emily Wales

"I am currently working as a teacher in the Middle East.  I want to progress in my career, but wanted a course that would be valid to the Irish education system for when I return home.  This course, which is very suitable for online study, has been a perfect fit for me."
