About the Society
The SETU Waterford Criminal Justice Society was established in September 2012 by students undertaking the Criminal Justice Studies course. The society is based in the College Street Campus and is open to all SETU Waterford students with an interest in the Criminal Justice System.
The Society welcomes students from a diverse range of studies as criminal justice is by its very nature a multidisciplinary subject area incorporating law, psychology, and sociology.
Throughout the year the society organises a number of events including social events, debates, discussion group and talks on issues relating to field of Criminal Justice.
The society aims to be a social forum for its members, where they can play an active role in shaping the direction of the society.
The Criminal Justice society provides its members with an opportunity to interact with other students, faculty members and criminal justice professionals at regular events throughout the year. It offers informative events such as guest speaks who will discuss on various topics relevant to the field of criminal justice.
