1. Where do I get my Online Student Services Password?

If you can not remember your password please contact Computer Services by phone +353 (51) 84 5524 or e-mail [email protected].

2. I cannot access the Registration Page – why?

You must have log-in details (WIT Student Number and Online Student Services Password) .  If you continue to experience difficulties accessing the Registration Page, please send an email to [email protected] giving details of the exact error message displayed on your computer screen.  All emails will be responded to in strict rotation.

3.Who do I contact if I have a Fees or Grants query?

1. What is Induction?

This is the Institute’s programme to introduce students to the campus and their programme of study so that they can get used to their new surroundings and meet fellow students.  Incoming students are informed of the various services available to them during their time on campus. It also provides an opportunity for students to meet with academic staff and discuss various academic issues where this is relevant.
When you register at your appointed date and time, details of Induction will be given to you.

2. When will Lectures Commence?

Lectures and Induction for first years will commence on Monday 7th September, 2015. 

3. When will I get my Timetable?

Timetables will be distributed during your Induction to the Institute.  They will also be available from the School Administration Offices and the Institute’s website.  The location of the office relevant to you will be given to you on Induction Day.

4. When will I get my Academic Calendar?

The Academic Calandar will give you the commencement dates for each semester, study periods, holiday details and examination sessions.

5. How do I get a Student Registration Card?

To facilitate the issue of your Student Card (WITCard), please have a digital photo of Passport quality (e.g head and shoulders, front view, sharp and clear and against a plain background) ready for upload during the Online Registration process. Please check your email to ensure your photo has been accepted. The WITCard is the official identification card for students.  It is used for numerous services on campus including accessing the library, identification, printing, photocopying, point of sale and access control. Note that your WITCard photograph will be used for identification purposes and for academic and administration activities of the Institute.

6. What do I do if I lose my Student Registration Card?

If your WITCard is lost or stolen, this fact should be reported immediately to the WITCard Office (051-302732 or [email protected]). You will be responsible for all charges to the card until the card is reported missing.  A fee will apply when attaining a replacement. You can also access your Web Card Management account on the internet at any time and suspend your account.  For further information on the WITCard go to http://www.witcampusservices.ie/WITCard/

7. Are there Medical Services on Campus?

Student Medical Scheme: The WIT Student Medical Scheme was formed in 1987 and is managed by Campus Services. The aim of the healthcare scheme is to provide medical and nursing care to students. 8. How do I find somewhere to live?

There is a variety of accommodation options available including: on-campus, digs and house share.  For information on accommodation, visit http://www.witstudentservices.com. ; You can also contact the WIT Main Accommodation Office on 051 302615. Accommodation lists are also available on a stand outside the WIT Card office during office hours.

9. Is there a crèche on campus?

No, however, please refer to waterfordcitychildcare.com for information on all matters relating to Childcare in the Waterford area.

10. How do I find out about Bus and Rail services to and from the Institute?

Information on and tickets for Bus and Rail services are on sale in the Campus Shops.  Locations:  Spar Shop & The Book Shop, Cork Road Campus and the Campus Shop, College Street .  Information is also available on http://www.buseireann.ie ; and http://www.irishrail.ie

11. Can I buy textbooks on Campus?

Yes, there is a book-shop located in the Spar Supermarket on the Cork Road Campus.  Books can be purchased and ordered here.

12. Where can I get a letter to say that I am a registered student of W.I.T. or forms Stamped by W.I.T.?

Please call to Cork Road Campus Reception (opposite WIT branch of AIB) or College Street Reception for assistance.
