Appointments
Individual appointments: Should you need to speak with a Career Coach on a one to one basis, at present, we are offering all appointments online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams video/audio call and in person.
To make best use of your appointment please take some time to prepare for your meeting by thinking about what kind of work you would like, what kind of experiences you have had, what are your interests, abilities, work values, etc. The Careers Information and Resources section on this website is a good place to start also try using the Cybil Survey report.
Quick Query/CV Review - Available every Monday between 2.30pm and 4pm (in the Careers Development Centre) during term time, attend a 10 minute meeting with a Careers Coach, without appointment, on a first-come, first-served basis. This will resume when we are back on campus
Before requesting an appointment, we would request you undertake some preliminary research in order to get the most out of your appointment time.
CV’s
In order for your CV to be reviewed, please follow the layout of the CV template, which you can download, from the Careers Connect platform. Once you have your CV completed, crosscheck it with ‘CV Checklist’ and upload it to the platform in a word document with your name as the file name. The Careers Advisor will get back to you directly with any recommendations.
Job Opportunities
Did you know that we have a portal called Careers Connect where you can view job, internships and scholarship opportunities all year round? This is open to all SETU Waterford students and graduates. All you have to do is click on the Careers Connect box below and log in with your SETU Waterford username and password.
WIT’s Careers Development Centre reviews each job and internship advertisement posted against our Vacancy Handling Policy, in an effort to ensure they are genuine, lawful and non-discriminatory. Unfortunately, during your job search you may come across advertisements that are not genuine and are designed to take advantage of you, please feel free to contact us if this occurs or if you have any questions.
