Ordinarily, it is not possible to defer a place on a Postgraduate programme. Deregistration is the only mechanism for withdrawing from a taught postgraduate programme.
However, in compassionate and compelling circumstances the fees paid may be carried over to the year of return, up to a maximum of three years.Even in these circumstances the student is liable for any increase in fees, which may have been made in the interim.
