If your course is involved in SETU’s Peer Mentoring programme, you can expect to meet your Peer Mentor at Orientation.
What is P2P?
Peer-2-Peer (P2P) is a Peer Mentoring programme available across several courses in SETU Waterford. It aims to help incoming first year students settle into college life with the support of students from Year 2 and above within the same course/Department.
What do P2P Mentors do?
Mentors help new students to get to know one another as well as sharing insights about college supports, their course and other useful tips.
How will P2P Mentors help at Orientation?
Students with P2P on their course will meet their mentors for the first time during their on-campus Orientation. On the day, mentors will:
- Show new students around campus
- Answer any questions that they might have
- Help make sure they feel prepared for their first day of classes
