Nurse Elma Clancy is a member of the student support services team within the college. The Institute Nurse provides a service that enables students to look at their overall health and wellbeing in a holistic manner.The main services of the Institute Nurse are highlighted below.

WIT Student Medical Centre Opening Hours (From Monday 30th September)

Monday - Thursday     9.30am to 1.00pm

Prices and scheme options:

1. Annual Registration Fee - €120 - This option includes unlimited routine Doctor and Nurse visits for the academic year.

2. Annual Registration Fee - €50.00 - This option has a reduced Doctor rate of €20 per visit and a Nurse rate of €10 per visit.

3. Pay per visit - €40.00 -  for Doctors visit and €20 for Nurses visit.

The Practice accepts students with medical cards, GP visit cards and also EHIC Card.

Monday - Friday    8.30am to 5.30pm

In the event of an accident to Staff Member or Student:

  • If the injury is minor it can be dealt with by an on-site first aider.

  • If the injury requires medical attention please contact Mary O’ Doherty, Health & Safety Officer, 051-845517 (Estates Office).

  • If the accident occurs after hours please contact the Caredoc, 1850 334 999 or the Accident & Emergency Department at Waterford University Hospital, 051-848000.

  • If your injury is serious please contact the emergency services immediately. Dial 999 or 112.
