Self Service Password Reset

Now that I'm studying from home, what can I do if I need to change my WIT password at some stage but I can't come into WIT?

WIT has implemented a Self Service Password Reset program which is available to every registered students (and staff) of WIT.  When used, this program will change your password for all the following systems at the one time:

  • WIT Computer Login
  • Moodle
  • Online Student Services
  • Timetables
  • Library Systems
  • Eduroam WIFI
  • OneDrive
  • Office 365
  • Software Download site
  • Microsoft Teams

We strongly recommend that you register on this system as soon as possible especially as many of us are working and studying from home and simply cannot get to the Institute to change our password if need be.  

You only have to register once but it must be done while you still have a valid password.  Once registered, you can then change your password at any stage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while you are a current, registered student in WIT.

Note: Students must use their [email protected] to avail of this service 

The Process

Is your password still valid?  If it is, then click on the Password Registration icon at the bottom of this page and login to the system using your [email protected] eg [email protected] 

You can register for all three options but you only need to register for one!  You can decide to register with:

  • Your phone to receive a text message or call
  • An alternative email address to receive a code
  • Select security questions which you can then use in the future to reset your password

Once you have registered your option(s) then simply go to here to reset your password if you find yourself in trouble.
