This virtual event focuses on undergraduate entry for September 2021 but also showcases the opportunities for postgraduate learning and research and flexible study through our School of Lifelong Learning & Education.
Event format
This event will take place virtual through our open day portal open.wit.ie Prospective students and parents can take part in live Zoom talks with lecturers and support staff from across the institute. In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit our online exhibtion booths to ask those all-important questions, before taking an interactive virtual tour of our campus.
CAO Undergraduate
The institute has 70 CAO courses across a range of disciplines including, business, engineering and architecture, sports and nursing, law, social sciences, arts and psychology, the creative & performing arts, languages, tourism and hospitality, science and computing. WIT's Virtual Open Days include presentations on all CAO courses, including new courses for 2021, as well as the opportunity to experience what it would be like to study on those courses and talk to lecturers directly. These events are mainly aimed at 6th Year Leaving Certificate students, their parents and guidance counsellors, but we also welcome 5th years and anyone considering college in September 2021.
Postgraduate opportunities

Adult learners : funded course opportunities
The institute is offerring a broad range of funded part-time courses to start this January along with a further range of funded places on full-time Masters courses. Under the 'July Stimulus' and 'Springboard' initiatives part-time courses for adults are funded 90% if obe is working and 100% for unemployed/PUP people. In addition WIT offers a broad range of fee-paying part-time / flexible learning courses. Our Lifelong Learning team will be at the virtual open day events to discuss opportunities with anyone interested in reskilling or upskilling in a more flexible way as well as with employers who would like to discuss bespoke programme development.
