Presenter - Susan Sweeney, MSc

A highly resourceful, visual artist and academic, Susan holds an MSc in Technology & Learning from Trinity College Dublin. As one of the first graduates of Ballyfermot Senior College she still retains the drive to experiment and to explore new techniques in composite imagery, mixing old and new technologies. Susan was part of the pioneering Audio Visual Centre team in UCD that produced a novel image retrieval system and the virtual classroom to Jordan. She also pioneered education technology at Maynooth University. Her research project 'CyborgArt: A Teaching Case Study on the Affordances Programmable Sensors in Mixed Media Art' was produced in collaboration with Microsoft Ireland.

Susan is currently in receipt of a scholarship from Dublin Business School and her area of research involves data visualisation, coding and the art experience. Susan’s upcoming photographic art exhibition EKPHRAIS 2020 takes place in the Copper House Gallery in February.
