Do you have an hour to spare to try out coding?
WIT is opening its computer labs for An Hour of Code during its Spring Open Events on Saturday, 30 March in the Walton IT Building.
We're giving CAO applicants the chance to figure out if coding is for them in one hour using a special 'Hour of Code' exercise, designed to demystify "code" and show that anybody can learn the basics. The exercise helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. No prior computing knowledge is required, beyond being able to point and click with a mouse! An Hour of Code is a very accessible way to try out coding, to consider computing as a future study or career option, and to help fill the skills gap.
If you would like to give it a go, then register your details to book your place and to receive updates from the Department of Computing & Mathematics.
