SETU Waterford (formely WIT) is honoured to be the first higher education institution to host the Vicky Phelan Portrait on International Women's Day, Tuesday 8 March.
All members of the SETU Waterford community are invited to attend a reception in the Main Atrium on the Cork Road campus from 10-11am today with free teas, coffees, cakes and music, followed by speakers in the Main Auditorium from 11.00 - 12.15pm. The Vicky Phelan Portrait will remain open for viewing in the Main Auditorium until 2.30pm.
If you cannot make the event in person, it will be live streamed from 11.00am at https://youtu.be/x3MvfQ4q7JM
As part of the event, we hope to raise funds for two great local charities close to Vicky’s heart - The Solas Cancer Support Centre in Waterford and The Shona Project, founded by SETU Waterford's Tammy Darcy. If you would like to make a cash donation, there will be buckets available on the day. Alternatively, you can make a donation in Vicky's name directly to the charities here: https://www.idonate.ie/VickiPhelanPortraitExpoMar22.
Your support for this special event, for a very special person, would be greatly appreciated.
