This WIT event gives you the chance to ask questions of those who are asking for your vote in May. Use your voice, use your vote.
The European Parliament elections in May are shaping up to the most consequential for EU states and Ireland in a generation - the effects of Brexit, the changing relationship with the US, China and Russia, and the rise of nationalist and populist movements across many member states - all are on the agenda for candidates seeking your vote in May.
However, voter turnout for EP elections is traditionally lower when compared to national elections - and, in particular, younger voters participate far less than older generations. If those aged between 18-25 had exercised their vote in the 2016 Brexit referendum, the result would have been very different.
