At the Department of Health, Sport & Exercise Science (DHSES) we pride ourselves on offering an applied real world education which produces experienced, independent thinking and ambitious graduates, setting us apart from the competition.

We also believe that the best way to find out about the “DHSES experience” is to come and try it out for yourself!

We are therefore delighted to announce our inaugural TRY Sport, TRY Health Open Day, aimed at all second level and PLC students interested in pursuing a career in health, fitness or sport. This event will be hosted in our brand new, state of the art teaching and training facilities in the WIT Arena.

TRY Sport, TRY Health will give you the opportunity to live the life of a student in the DHSES, meet our expert staff and try out exciting and interactive sessions in strength & conditioning, group exercise leadership, health screening, fitness testing and behaviour change.

Participants will get an opportunity to talk with current students in the DHSES who will share their insights into the department, courses and and life in WIT. Information will also be presented about the varied opportunities that exist for students upon graduation.

This one day taster course will provide you with a unique opportunity to test the DHSES experience for yourself, giving you confidence in your CAO choice.

The overall course cost includes lunch and light refreshments.
