The popular Robert Boyle Summer School has been running since 2012 at Boyle’s birthplace, Lismore Co Waterford. The first Robert Boyle Winter School, a one day meeting, will take place in Dublin this year hosted by the Edward Worth Library. The purpose is to celebrate Boyle’s life and legacy and to promote Ireland’s scientific heritage.
This one day meeting will feature Prof Michael Hunter, Prof Anna Marie Roos, Prof Luke Gibbons and of course a discussion session. Boyle’s work will be brought alive by Sheila Donegan, Eoin Gill, Paul Nugent and Cordula Weiss recreating some special experiments.
