Engineers Ireland and the Department of Engineering Technology in WIT are delighted to welcome Dr James Kennedy to his medical device talk on "A case study towards the design and development of a medical device with a discussion on how to implement R&D Tax credits".
This presentation will look at the technical roadmap used in the development of a medical device as well as the pitfalls encountered. In parallel with the scientific methods used, an evaluation of how to implement R&D tax credits will also be discussed.
James Kennedy is a chartered engineer and a fellow of Engineers Ireland and is the CTO of Kastus Technologies. Kastus is an award winning Irish antimicrobial coating company and is the winner of the Knowledge Transfer Ireland start-up of the year 2017, the winner of the Irish Time Innovation award for life science and healthcare category 2017 and the overall winner of the Irish Time Innovation award 2017.
