The Department of Engineering Technology at WIT is holding a 'Try Engineering Technology' day for senior cycle secondary school students. Students will participate in hands on practical labs encompassing all four engineering areas, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, as contained within the Department of Engineering Technology. The day will also have information talks from graduates, employers and students from the Department. Our staff and students will be available to offer advice regarding our courses and what college life is like at WIT. Tours of the campus and laboratories will also be conducted.
This event is primarily aimed at 5th and 6th Year Leaving Certificate students. However, TY and FE students are also welcome to attend.
How to book
The cost of the event os €20 and will cover all materials for the day as well as a take home engineering 'goodie' bag. Teachers and career guidance counsellors are also very welcome to attend. Booking early is advised as places are limited.
