A talented, emerging group of filmmakers from the Higher Diploma in Television and Media Production at South East Technological University and Nemeton TV feature in this year’s Fastnet Film Festival.
The festival runs from May 25-29, 2022, and is an independent festival dedicated to bringing together established and first-time filmmakers in a forum to celebrate the short film.
From music to theatre, dating to disabilities, overcoming fears and the odds, the topics and themes of these features are as varied as they are rich. These exciting new documentaries and dramas have a chance to reach new audiences at this acclaimed festival in Schull.
Films produced on the course are broadcast on TG4, screened at festivals around Ireland and have been winning the Best Irish Language Film at the National Student Media Awards every year since 2014.
The Postgraduate Course in Television & Media Production is run by the SETU in association Nemeton TV, one of Ireland’s leading production companies, and Udarás na Gaeltachta.
