The Department of English and The Centre for Newfoundland and Labrador Studies are delighted to announce a public lecture by Professor Jane Koustas next Wednesday 28 February at 12pm in TL249.
Professor Koustas will deliver a lecture entitled ‘Frank McGuinness and Larry Tremblay: Parallel Paths on the Global Stage’. The lecture will focus on the interplay between literature, culture and globalization, and the commonalities inherent in the work of Frank McGuinness and Canadian writer and playwright Larry Tremblay.
Professor Koustas is the current Craig Dobbin Professor of Canadian Studies at University College Dublin. Professor Koustas lectures in the Department of Modern Languages at Brock University, Ontario, Canada and her research interests lie in English-Canadian literature, Quebec theatre and theatre translation.
The lecture will last approximately 45 minutes, with an opportunity for questions to follow. All are welcome to attend what we hope will be an insightful and informative lecture.
