Time: All Day
Location: IT Carlow
South East Research Sparks, a joint initiative between Waterford Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Carlow funded under the cross-institutional collaborative projects fund, provides an opportunity for research-active staff across the Institutes to present to their colleagues on research they have conducted to date as well as outlining future directions they will pursue in line with the organisation’s research strategy. The first South East Research Sparks event will take place in ITC on 12th March 2019. There will be a second South East Research Sparks event taking place in WIT (date TBC).
The format of the day will include short presentations from researchers across both institutes in the morning with plenty of time for networking over coffee and lunch. In the afternoon, we will facilitate an interactive workshop focussing on addressing the gender dimension in research and research funding applications.
The call for submissions is now open up to February 22nd at 5pm and simply consists of an overview of you and your research and 3 Key Take Aways from your research journey. Presentations on the day will be for 10 minutes and should be accessible to a broad audience. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your work and ignite collaboration potential.
Those wishing to participate in the event as a speaker should register their details via the speaker registration form. For those wishing to attend on the day in a non-speaking capacity, please complete the attendee registration form below.
