Jazz and popular music performance at The Munster Bar from 8pm

You can enjoy some relaxing jazz performed by students and staff of the BA (Hons) Music programme in the Munster bar on Friday 20 October from 8 pm.


Saturday, 21 October

10am – Career Paths in Music event (Presentations and discussion on interesting career paths of WIT music alumni)

Venue: College Street Campus

This involves selected alumni speaking about how they developed their careers after graduating from WIT with an honours music degree. A wide range of careers will be represented from education to music therapy to music journalism, and much more. It is a great opportunity for anyone considering studying music at third level to gain insight into potential career opportunities in the music industry. No booking required.

Saturday, 21 October

2pm – WIT Composer Showcase - new music concert

Venue: The Chapel, College Street Campus

Saturday afternoon in the Chapel promises to be very entertaining with a showcase concert of 30 years of performers and composers from WIT starting at 2 pm. At 2 pm the 30 Years of Composers and Performers event will begin in the Chapel. This is a showcase of the music of composers and performers who have come through WIT over the past 30 years. This promises to be an entertaining afternoon with many different styles and genres of music represented.


Saturday, 21 October

6.30pm – Meet and greet in the Tower Hotel with traditional music

At 6.30 pm the WIT Orchestra will perform in the Lounge of the Tower Hotel as we meet and greet our alumni and current students. This will be followed by the reunion buffet at 7.30 pm where everyone can re-connect with old friends and colleagues or make new connections to a backdrop of relaxing jazz music.

7.30pm – Gala buffet with jazz band and other entertainment.

Weekend ticket (including buffet): €35 (concessions for full-time students (€30) on weekend ticket).
