We would like to invite you to an information session we are holding on Tuesday 26th @ 1.15pm in Room F01 (near Centra shop) on WIT Cork Road Campus to chat about the exciting student entrepreneur competitions on this year and how we at WIT can support you in developing your ideas.
The first in the series of competitions is the Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE).

1. Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur is open to anyone under 35 who has a business idea, a new business or an established business... and now is the time to apply!
Deadline: Friday 29th September (very short application form for initial entry)
Hosted by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices (LEO) across the country, each LEO area has a prize fund of €50,000 to share between three county winners. 93 county winners then advance to Regional Finals, vying for a place in the National Finals next Spring. At the National Finals hostedin Google, three entrepreneurs will be named national category winners with one being crowned Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur. Collectively they will share a further prize fund of €100,000.
Categories are:
- Best Business Idea
- Best Start-Up (up to 18 months)
- Best Established Business (over 18 months)
Entering is simple, just complete the online form at www.ibye.ie.
The team at WIT and at your Local Enterprise Office (www.localenterprise.ie) are on hand to help with mentoring and support in completing the application and throughout each of the stages of the competition.
