Economist Austin Hughes is to give a seminar on the capacity of the Irish economy to address significant challenges in coming years.
The MBA Association South East Chapter will host an evening seminar with Economist Austin Hughes on Thursday, 28 November in the WIT Arena, where he will discuss the theme of ‘Life after Brexit’.
The event will be co-ordinated in collaboration with the WIT Business School and KBC Business Banking.
The lecture will examine the extent to which Brexit might be seen as a symptom as well as a cause of widespread economic difficulties at present and will review the capacity of the Irish economy to address some significant challenges in coming years.
This event, taking place at 7pm in the WIT Arena (West Campus), has been approved for CPD hours with the Institute of Bankers and CPA Ireland.

Austin Hughes has worked as an Economist for KBC since 1990, following stints in the Department of Finance, Central Bank and Bord Fáilte. He has an MA in economics from UCD. His focus is on issues affecting the Irish and European economies. He produces a number of closely followed Consumer Sentiment Surveys and is also a regular contributor to media on economic and financial topics.
