Get your camera out and show us your idea of science – and win a fantastic prize!
Take part in the first Southeast Science Festival photo competition “Snap Your Science” and submit your photo on or before 5pm, 01 November 2018. Shortlisted images will be exhibited in the WIT atrium during the Southeast Science Festival, 05-18 November 2018. Winners will be announced at an award ceremony at the opening of the exhibition. Submitted photos must be at least 2480 x 3508 pixels (or equivalent/greater dimensions) to ensure a good quality print at A4 size. Please use the form below to submit your image. Don’t forget to add a catchy caption and say a few words (max 100) about your snap: what does it tell, how is it connected to science?
The Southeast Science Festival is part of national Science Week and is coordinated by Calmast, the STEM (science, technology, engineering and technology) outreach centre at WIT. Together with the RSU, Calmast is calling undergraduates, postgraduates and all staff of WIT* from all disciplines to submit their snap of science.
The winner will become the proud owner of a Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Instant Camera and runners-up will be awarded too!
* NB: this competition is only open to undergraduates, postgraduatesm and staff members of WIT
