Dr Cormac O'Raifeartaigh, a current lecturer in physics in WIT's School of Science presents a public lecture in Christ Church Cathedral on Wednesday 23rd March at 7:30 pm. The title of the lecture is 'The Big Bang - Is It True?' and it is hosted by South East Astronomy.
Dr Cormac O'Raifeartaigh is a research associate at Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies and has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and the Institute of Physics. He is also engaged in research on the history and the philosophy of 2oth century science.
A frequent contributor to the media, he is the author of the science blog Antimatter.ie and Science Ambassador for Discover Science & Engineering Ireland.
The talk will take place in Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford. Doors open at 7:00pm.
