Some Advice
Outside of the SETU Waterford campus, we can only provide advice to ensure the safety of our students. Luckily, Waterford is a relatively safe city. However, we advise the following precautions to our students:
-
Don't walk anywhere alone, particularly at night
-
Keep your valuables in a safe place - don't have them too visible where possible
-
Keep your house locked (and alarmed if possible)
-
If you are travelling home at weekends and your accommodation will be empty, ask a neighbour or friend to call in and turn on lights etc.
-
Keep bikes and cars locked
-
Talk to Student Life and Learning, Students Union or your class tutor if you are feeling unsafe
