This free bootcamp aims to guide participants through the initial stages of developing an innovative tech business idea and bringing it to pitch stage
Waterford Local Enterprise Office (LEO), ArcLabs Research and Innovation Centre, Boxworks and Crystal Valley Tech have joined forces to offer a new ‘Pre Start to Pitch’ programme to those with an idea for an innovative tech business.
The business bootcamp aims to guide participants through the initial stages of developing an idea, bringing it to pitch stage. Presented by the Entrepreneurs Academy, the programme is being offered for free to a limited number of participants over the course of a day and a half, on 22 – 23 April.
Entrepreneurs Academy are the leading authority on entrepreneurship and leadership in Ireland. With over 21 years’ experience delivering Start Your Own Business programmes and are recognised experts at training entrepreneurs in igniting and growing their business.
Day one of the programme will take place at ArcLabs, Waterford Institute of Technology’s business incubator, which is (and has been) home to some of the most innovative companies in digital technology. Programme mentors will work with participants to review their idea, choose the correct business model, investigate market trends, plan the route to market and develop a business pitch.
Day two will be on location at Boxworks, Waterford’s coworking space for tech and creative industries, and hub for smart-thinking entrepreneurs, startups and ambitious small businesses. Participants will fine tune their pitch before presenting to the judges who will select the top pitches, with prize winners announced on the day.
Mentoring by Waterford Local Enterprise Office
Following on from the programme chosen businesses will be offered mentoring via Waterford Local Enterprise Office to progress their idea further. In addition, two successful businesses will be provided with free desk space in Boxworks for six months, sponsored by the Waterford Local Enterprise Office.
Those with the seed of an idea in the areas of digital technology, cleantech, fintech, and agritech should not miss out on this programme. Spaces are limited and those interested are invited to complete an expression of interest to be part of the event before Mon 11 April at 10am. The programme is open to those based in Waterford only.
