Six WIT students Crowned SSE Airtricity U19 League champions

This talented squad, which includes a number of first and second year students, will now be looking to become members of the Waterford FC first team squad

Waterford FC were crowned SSE Airtricity Under 19 League Champions after a deserved 3-1 win against Galway United in Eamonn Deacy Park on Monday, 28 October.

Six of the squad are currently studying in WIT and are part of the Men's Premier Soccer squad. First years Regix Madika, Ben Kirwan, Greg Waters and second years Darryl Walsh, Jack Larkin and Adham Masood were part of the squad that helped the blues to much deserved win in Galway.

Best team in Ireland

This is a fantastic finale of what was a great season for the U19s. With the win they officially become the best team in Ireland having beat the very best from Dublin and other areas of the country.

This very talented squad will now be looking to become members of the Waterford FC first team squad and will look to continue their successful performances with the college team.

The lads will be in action again for the college on Wednesday, 6 November against Athlone IT as they  begin their defence of the FAI Perpetual College cup and look to continue to their unbeaten start to the season.
