The hub is open to all registered WIT students and spaces must be booked more than two hours in advance. Students can book via www.witsu.ie.

Dedicated resource

"The Digital Study Hub is a new Institute resource to enable students on campus to stream or attend lectures online in a secure and dedicated environment.  The hub will support students to virtually attend classes from Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 17.15pm.  Booking is essential and all users must adhere to the Institutional and HSE guidelines on COVID compliance.  This is an important and dedicated key resource for the use of all registered WIT students," said WIT Vice President for Academic Affairs and Registrar, Dr Derek O’Byrne.

Adjacent to atrium

The hub is located in the main atrium on the Cork Road campus, directly across from the auditorium and porters’ office and has a maximum of 50 spaces, all with desk, numbered chair and power points. Wifi is available via Eduroam throughout the space. Students will need their own laptop and headphones.

The opening hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. There are three slots every day and students can book a maximum two slots: 9.15am – 11.15am, 11.15am – 1.15pm, there is a break for cleaning between 1.15 and 2pm and the final slot is 2.15pm – 5.15pm.

Guidelines obligatory

Students availing of the space are invited to adhere to the HSE, institution and COVID-19 WIT student charter guidelines around social distancing, face masks/coverings, sanitising and cough/sneeze etiquettes.

In addition to designated cleaning times, students must make use of the cleaning materials available and wipe down your desk and seat before and after they take their assigned seat. Additionally they will have to sanitize their hands on entry and exit.
