The continued roll out of Active* Consent training is key to fostering an institutional campus culture that is safe, respectful and supportive
WIT will this week roll out Active*Consent training for all third and fourth year students in the Institute.
This follows on from a hugely successful roll out of the Active*Consent training programme to all first and second year students. This 30-minute online training provides a highly inclusive and positive approach to developing levels of awareness and communication skills around sexual consent.
Dr Allison Kenneally, Vice President for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at SETU stated “WIT is committed to preventing and addressing all forms of sexual harassment and sexual violence and published a comprehensive Action Plan to Tackle Sexual Violence & Harassment earlier this year. We have been working for some time on a variety of initiatives to foster an institutional campus culture that is safe, respectful and supportive, and the roll out of Active* Consent training to all 3rd and 4th year students is key to this. I would encourage all students to participate in the training and play their part in creating a consent culture at SETU.”
