Employers and human resource professionals were excited by the opportunity to work with the students and develop their career portfolios

Employability skills, a new dynamic and innovative module, was introduced to the Higher Certificate in Business Studies, Bachelor of Business and BSc in Retail Management this year to prepare students for employment opportunities.

This module is delivered through workshops lead by employers and human resource professionals in the region.

The focus is around building individual career portfolios as it was recognised that students can achieve the highest academic results but ultimately it is their ability to engage with employers that leads to career success.

The aim of this module is to build the ‘employability’ of students from early in their academic journey. Employers and human resource professionals were excited by the opportunity to work with the students and develop their career portfolios and for each week of the semester students take part in workshops, site visits and mock interviews all lead by Human Resource Managers and Employers in the South East.
